At
right, a slideshow shows a marine installation of a chair lift.
The lift uses a concealed screw mechanism to raise the padded chair from the Galley to the Deck above, with a thick nylon safety strap for extra security.
Frame 1 shows the comfortable chair, which features a safety belt and footrest.
Frames 2-6 show an occupant rising thru the deck.
Frame 7 shows the seat as it appears topside.
Frame 8 shows how the hatch is secured to prevent accidents when the chair is not in use.
